11/23/08: My final effort for the WP Code Cloud featuring Wordle of WordPress is downloadable below. (Click the image, then Right-click and choose Save Picture As). I make it available “CC-BY” as per the wordle creator, Jonathan Feinberg. I let go of the GPL licensing because I’m told that wordle is “fair use” of copyrighted material. Furthermore GPL and CC-BY seem to me to have the same intent of preventing anyone downstream of claiming exclusive rights. 11/15/08: Downloads disabled pending resolution of Creative Commons and GNU licensing. Both licenses are required for these images since the text sources are covered under GPL and the wordle.net is covered under Creative Commons Attribution.
Update 11/08/08: The 4th and final generation. My sample shirt highlighted the need to remove the fine print in the design and bump up the size of the attribution box to 16 point font. Download the design here. (Click link, then Right-click and choose Save Picture As)
Update 10/22/08: Download the 3rd generation, so sharper I added finer print. Its here(2000×1061). (Click link, then Right-click and choose Save Picture As)
Update 10/17/08: Download the new, sharper version here(738×378) or large size here(2000×1024). (Click link, then Right-click and choose Save Picture As)
My favorite blogging software, WordPress, is distributed as open source software under the Free Software Foundation Gnu Public License (GPL). My WP Code Cloud graphic is a derviative work. I make it available under GPL, download the graphic here.
